Welcome to the Toolbox Course 'Managing Performance, Quality and People in Public Administration'
The online course ‘Managing Performance, Quality and People in Public Administration’ covers approximately 120 minutes of learning content and is organised in three units:
- Setting the scene: focusing on public value, the difference between organisational capacity and capability, the role public administrators play in enhancing public value and assessing the various dimensions of public values.
- Managing Performance and Quality: focusing on concepts around performance management, including setting direction and acting through concrete plans. Instruments of performance management, organisations excellence models and assessments are also covered.
- Managing and developing staff: focusing on concepts such as fits-for-purpose civil service and strategic workforce planning. Ideas on how to make public administration an attractive employer are also explored.
