Becoming an artificial intelligent competent teacher
Деталі курсу
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming education, yet many teachers feel unprepared about how to use it well or even where to begin. This course invites you into Project Rewind, a story-driven experience set between 2040 and 2026. In this near-future scenario, an AI system, originally introduced into European schools with the best intentions, gradually replaced human judgement. As a Project Rewind Agent, your mission is to travel back in time and rebuild the system from scratch.
The gamified narrative adds purpose and continuity, while the learning remains firmly grounded in real educational practice.
Structured around the UNESCO AI Competency Framework for Teachers, this course offers a practical, human-centred journey helping you see AI not just as a technical tool, but as a socio-technical system that shapes how you teach and learn in real classrooms. Grounded in principles of equity, inclusion, and learner wellbeing, this course examines why ethical and rights-based approaches matter in educational contexts.
Along the way, you will build concrete skills. You will explore how AI works, critically question and evaluate AI tools, and develop practical strategies for integrating AI into your teaching while maintaining your essential role as designer, facilitator, and critical mediator of technology in the classroom.
From your very first mission, you will apply what you learn. Early in the course, you will evaluate an AI tool using a structured framework, giving you an immediate confidence-building experience that you can apply to any AI tool you encounter in the future.
The course is offered by the European School Education Platform. Visit our website for more information.
