General
- Start your journey here! In this section you will find everything you need for a successful start of the course. Read about completion criteria and learning activities here.
Learning objectives
This phase takes you as MOOC participant to the starting point of the process: identifying the challenge. The challenge we deal with in this MOOC (and the respective OER) is the general low participation and lack of both motivation and persistence of the target group consisting of learners with low levels of basic skills. As participant you will need to identify your own challenge, which will depend on the context in which you work. The OER's resources presented in the MOOC in this step will help you understand the consequences of low awareness among important stakeholders, and why outreach is important.
This phase aims at helping you as MOOC participant to understand the impact of the awareness raising we dealt with in the previous step. The selected OER content will help you get a deeper insight into motivation and persistence at theoretical level.
Having reached this step, MOOC, participants can start considering concrete models for action (e.g. media awareness activity, social media campaign, open day institutions, etc) for outreach, that is adequate to their institutional context and based on the previously identified challenges. The selected OER content helps them to fine-tune their initiative and gives further insight into examples of good practice and their success criteria.
The Implementation phase is dedicated to analyse potential challenges and opportunities to their prototype initiative and also to engage with further partners for the successful implementation. The selected OER content shared here serves as additional resource to show an implementation process from the beginning to the end.
