This short course introduces the fundamentals of Portfolio Management using the PM²-PfM approach. It presents a methodological approach to selecting, prioritising, monitoring and adjusting portfolios of initiatives to ensure strategic alignment, value delivery and effective use of resources.The course aims to build a clear understanding of portfolio thinking and decision-making at organisational level. Learners will understand what a portfolio is, how it differs from programmes and projects, and how portfolio management supports strategy execution.By the end of the course, learners will be aware of the core portfolio concepts, the key portfolio roles and responsibilities, and the main portfolio management processes and artefacts.

Objectifs d'apprentissage

After completing this course, learners will be able to:

• Recognise the purpose and scope of the PM²-PfM Portfolio Management Methodology and understand how it fits within the Squared Methodologies suite.

• Describe the PM²-PfM portfolio governance structure, including the main roles, responsibilities, and decision-making bodies.

• Explain the PM²-PfM process model and the intent of its core processes across the portfolio lifecycle.

• Identify the main PM²-PfM artefacts and understand their role in supporting portfolio visibility, alignment, value oversight, and reporting.
