Course details
This e-Capsule focuses on Commission Recommendation (EU) 2023/681 concerning the procedural rights of suspects and accused persons in pre-trial detention, as well as material conditions of detention (the Recommendation). It outlines the minimum standards that must be ensured to safeguard human dignity and uphold the fundamental rights of individuals subject to pre-trial detention.
Target audience
This e-Capsule is designed to provide justice professionals, particularly judges, prosecutors and lawyers, as well as court staff and prison staff, with a comprehensive understanding of the minimum standards in procedural rights and material conditions of detention that need to be guaranteed to suspects and accused persons subject to pre-trial detention.
