Mionsonraí an chúrsa

In today’s rapidly changing educational landscape, teachers are not only facilitators of learning but also lifelong learners themselves. This course explores the vital role of teachers as reflective practitioners, emphasising how intentional reflection can drive professional growth, enhance teaching quality, and ultimately improve student outcomes.

Designed for educators across all subjects and levels, the course offers a balanced blend of theory, practice, and collaboration. You will learn to critically examine your own teaching, recognise strengths and areas for development, and apply evidence-based strategies for continuous improvement. Through guided activities and peer exchange, you will build the skills and confidence needed to make reflection an integral part of your professional identity.

The course is organised into three interconnected modules. The first module introduces the key principles and theoretical foundations of reflective practice, illustrating its relevance in education. The second module focuses on practical approaches and tools that support meaningful individual and collective reflection. In the final module, you will be invited to design and share a reflective lesson plan, receiving constructive peer feedback to deepen your understanding and consolidate your learning.
