Training of Trainers for UCPM Training staff (3rd edition)
Course details
The ToT will focus on key thematic areas:
- the Code of Conduct and Community building;
- Training design and development;
- Training delivery;
- Performance assessment, evaluation and delivering feedback; and
- Interpersonal and soft skills.
Target audience
The ToT course targets training staff who already teach/train in the UCPM Training Programme, with different levels of experience and that are involved in two training categories of the UCPM, notably the deployable training courses and the courses for civil protection experts and disaster management stakeholders. More specifically, the blended ToT course aims to target two main profiles, notably lecturers/facilitators (experts specialised in a particular field who share their knowledge, experience, and expertise with the group), and trainers (operationally experienced experts who support learners in gaining knowledge and achieving specific skills in a particular field).
Learning objectives
The main objective of the ToT are to ensure that participants can:
- Articulate the concept and methodology of the UCPM Training Programme;
- Outline the roles, functions, tasks, rights, and responsibilities of UCPM lecturers and trainers;
- Identify and use resources to update and expand their knowledge continuously;
- Enhance their identity and foster a sense of belonging within the UCPM training staff community.
