This e-Capsule focuses on the mission, tasks, structure, and functioning of the European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO). It explores the obligations of national authorities towards the EPPO and explains how cooperation is organised, particularly regarding the EPPO's material, territorial, and personal competence, as well as the governing rules for the exercise of its competence jurisdiction.

This e-Capsule on the European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO) has been designed for all legal professionals, including lawyers, judges, prosecutors, bailiffs and court staff. It aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the EPPO Regulation and the Protection of Union financial interests (PIF) Directive, and how these legal instruments inform the EPPO's operations.
