This online course introduces semantic interoperability, a key enabler for meaningful data exchange across systems, organisations, and borders. Designed for a non-technical audience, the course explains how shared meaning in data helps public administrations and organisations work together more effectively, without requiring changes to existing IT systems.

The aim of the course is to provide learners with a clear, practical understanding of semantic interoperability, its core concepts, benefits, challenges, and its role in supporting cross-border and cross-domain digital public services in the European Union.
