Olá Olá a todos!

Guess what? Today is May 5th and that means it's time to celebrate the International Day of Portuguese Language! This day is all about recognising the richness and diversity of the Portuguese language, as well as the cultures and communities that have been shaped by it.

Did you know that Portuguese is the sixth most spoken language in the world and is an official language of the European Union, the African Union, and several other international organisations. Interesting, right?

ℹ️  The International Day of Portuguese Language was established in 2009 to promote the Portuguese language and its cultural and historical significance. It's celebrated on May 5th because that's the anniversary of Luis de Camões (an important person in the Portugal history)

So, whether you're already fluent in Portuguese or just starting to learn, we invite you to join us in celebrating this special day.

We have some contents all over the OLS Portuguese Community and a little quiz just for you

Are you ready to practice your Portuguese? Today is the day.
