¡Hola a todos/as! ¿Cómo van los nervios? September has finally arrived (casi/almost) and with it the start of your mobility programme. Undoubtedly, this experience is going to be one of the highlights of your life, as you will step out of your comfort zone, get to know people from all over the world and explore a foreign culture. Leaving your country behind may be overwhelming at times, but the reward is worth all the inconvenience: you will become a global citizen!

On behalf of the OLS team and the community manager's family, we wish you all the best for the upcoming semester/year in Spain or any other Spanish-speaking country :-) We are going to be here online, all the way through, ready to assist you in making the most of our linguistic journey. Don’t forget to share with us your adventures by participating in the forums. We want to know it all! ¡Mucha mierda a todos/as!

*In Spanish, “¡mucha mierda!” is used for wishing someone good luck before a performance or an important event. Its English counterpart would be “break a leg!”

We’ve published our second blog post!

As soon as you give yourself a break from exploring your new city, why not read the "8 interesting facts about the Spanish language" article? Among other things, you will learn about its origins, influences, how to exactly call the language and where it’s spoken! We hope you enjoy it!

If you have an idea or would like us to write about something specific that intrigues you, throw your suggestion here!

Create discussion topics with your region/city of destination

Two community users, Selina and Léa, have recently opened up two threads named “Mobility participants going to Comunitat Valenciana” and “People going to Barcelona” within the "Living Abroad" forum. It's a great idea! We invite you to do exactly the same with your host Autonomous Community or city. By doing so, you will be able to connect with your peers as well as share tips on what to do/visit/eat wherever you are. What do you guys think?

This is all from our side. HAPPY BEGINNINGS & ENJOY READING everyone :)))
