Dear community members,
Hi! Sveiki!
As you may have heard, 25ht of October is a rather important day in Lithuanian history. On this day in 1992, the citizens of Lithuania voted in a national referendum to adopt the Constitution of the Republic of Lithuania. This important legal document defines the principles and structure of the Lithuanian government.
On Constitution Day, various events and activities take place across Lithuania to celebrate the importance of the constitution and the principles it represents. This may include official ceremonies, cultural events, educational programs, and discussions about the constitution and its role in the country's history and governance. Schools, government institutions, and communities often organize special events to mark the occasion, promoting civic awareness and engagement.
It is also an opportunity to take part in the Constitution Exam, which is organized by the Ministry of Justice. It will be accessible online only today from 8:00 to 15:00 Vilnius time on the website https://www.konstitucijosegzaminas.lt/.
25th of October also marks the European Day of Justice. It aims to bring justice closer to citizens, to inform them on their rights and to to promote the work of the Council of Europe and the European Commission in the field of justice, through simulation of procedures and information sessions.
Are you interested in law or maybe even studying law in Lithuania during your Erasmus+ exchange? Do not hesitate to share your story in community forums!
Yours,
Gytis
