Look closely at the picture above to see as many details as possible. Your task is to tell us a story based on what you see in the picture.

Before you start writing, think about how you would describe the scene's location and the weather. Are there any sounds to be heard in the background?

Create a list of questions for yourself to answer in your story. Here are some questions to get your creativity flowing:

What is the boy's name? What is the bear's?

Why are they together? What are they doing?

Can the bear speak? If so, what are they talking about?

How would you describe where the boy and the bear are? How did they get there?

Are there other people or bears around? If so who and what are they doing?

What other questions can you add to this list to inspire our community of writers?

I'm looking forward to reading your stories!

One day, Luke and Mark were on the porch, talking, like every afternoon.
That day was particularly cold. It was kinda strange to be so cold because it was the 10th of April, and usually, at this time, the weather used to be nicely warm, maybe a little windy, but for sure not cold.
The clouds were occupying the sky, a weak grayness was filling the space. Luke was feeling a bit dizzy because of the weather. He hated this.
Mark, as always was calm, he was eating his honey from a stick and he was concentrated in what his friend was saying.
Mark didn't mind that weather. He always hated the warm seasons, so he was enjoying this chilly afternoon.

Every day, Luke waited that time of the day so unpatienly, that sometime it seemed to him that the time was passing slower to spite him on purpose.
Every day, at 4p.m Luke went on his porch, sat down, and waited for his friend, Mark.
Mark, every day, at 4.15 p.m arrived, sat down, and chewing on a honey-soaked stick used to listen to his dearest friend.
They used to sat on that porch for two hours, talking about their days, their feelings, their thoughts.
Theirs was a special relationship, it was deep. They were connected.
Luke never had a friend like Mark. He was a point of reference for him.

Hi, I'm new on this platform, I try to do my best.
Please if you want to correct every error that I did, it could be useful for me to learn.
Thank you so much, I hope you enjoyed my little story :)

Hi Aurora, what a truly lovely story you've written there! I really appreciate the details, like the times you mention, and the 'honey-soaked stick'. It makes the story come alive! As you asked, I will place the corrected the text below, so you can see any differences and learn from that :-)

So, here as promised, is the text with my suggestions.

"One day, Luke and Mark were on the porch, talking, like every afternoon. That day it was particularly cold. It was rather strange  that it was this cold because it was the 10th of April, and usually, at this time, the weather used to be nice and warm, maybe a little windy, but definitely not cold. The clouds were occupying the sky (NOTE: I like the uniqueness of using the words 'occupying the sky', be aware though of what it implies, namely; that the clouds have taken over the sky (in an intrusive manner). If you want to use a different version, you could simply say 'the sky was filled with clouds') a dull grayness filled the space. Luke was feeling a bit dizzy because of the weather, and he hated it.

Mark, as always, was calm. He was eating his honey from a stick and concentrated on what his friend was saying. Mark didn't mind that weather. He always hated the warm seasons, so he enjoyed this chilly afternoon.

Every day, Luke waited that time of the day so impatiently that sometimes it seemed to him that the time was passing slower on purpose to spite him.

Every day, at 4 p.m, Luke went
to his porch, sat down, and waited for his friend, Mark. Mark arrived at 4.15 p.m every day, sat down, and chewed on a honey-soaked stick he used to listen to his dearest friend.

They were used to sit on that porch for two hours, talking about their days, their feelings, and their thoughts. Theirs was a special relationship; it was profound. They were connected. Luke never had a friend like Mark. He was a point of reference for him."

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions!

Warmly,
Marieke

Like everyday Luke was there, with his best friend, Micheal, he was laughing, giggling, having his best time with his best friend.. Luke always thought about the fact that Micheal never spoke to him, despise his efforts to make him laugh, he always remained there, with the same smile looking at him.. but deep down Luke loved that side of him and he was fine with it, because in good or sad moments he was always there. Luke smiled ? he was the one who made him so happy, Luka cried ? Micheal was there ready to be hugged and console him, he for sure was a bit like his mother who always looked at him from up there in that clear sky.. Luke smiled as the hours passed and the little bear Micheal remained silent, filling the air with his warm presence close to the one of the playful Luke who hugged him tightly.. and by looking at this scene you could feel the true friendship that those two had.. Luke and Micheal were born to be togheter and destined to be united forever.. just like two beautiful brothers.
