① INITIAL GREETINGS

• Hola – Hello (standard)

• Buenas – Hello, hi (informal)

• Muy buenas – Hello, hi (informal)

• *Buenos días – Good morning (standard)

• *Buenas tardes – Good afternoon (standard)

• *Buenas noches – Good night (standard)

⚠️ In Spain, we say buenos días from 6 AM to 12 PM, buenas tardes after lunch until 8 PM, and buenas noches from 9 PM onwards. ⚠️
