In this thread, I'd like to talk a bit about false friends. As you know, I've written two blog posts about some of the common words that sound very similar in Polish and English but have very different meanings. You can find the first blog post HERE and the second one HERE.
First of all, I'd like to ask you for your feedback - how many of these words have you encountered so far? Have you heard of any other false friends that are also very common but I forgot to mention them in my blog posts?
Secondly, I'm really curious if you noticed any false friends between Polish and your native language. As you know, those differences can be sometimes very funny. Let me know down below, I would be happy to collect false friends from various European languages and make a new blog post about them.
