We are celebrating 
Runeberginpäivä, Runebergs Day 
on 5 February. J.L. Runeberg is the fellow who wrote a lot of poems in the 1800 century, one of which became the national anthem of Finland, Maamme-laulu. Read about this famous Finn in the Runeberginpäivä - blog post.
While you are reading about Johan Ludwig Runeberg, you may be munching Finnish reikäleipä. Finns boast a huge variety of different kinds of bread, the most famous and liked being rye bread, made of sour dough. Tongue Twisters
So here is where the fun starts! Come tongue twisters! Until today, I have posted three different types of tongue twisters that will make your brain twist along with your mouth. Earlier in November, I posted Ärrän kierrän ympäri orren, ässän pistän taskuun. So now in January, we have Mustan Kissan Paksut Posket and Vesihiisi Sihisi Hississä. We are so interested in hearing your efforts in how you master these difficult consonants! Practice makes perfect!
Valentines´ Day reminder!
Finally in the end, I want to remind you of Valentines´ Day on 14 February! But did you know that in Finland Ystävänpäivä Is A Day Of Friendship!
