Hi, English Community Members!
Welcome
back to a new week. I hope you've had a delightful weekend! I certainly
did! I went to visit a natural bird preserve and was astonished to see
pink flamingoes, white egrets, and gray herons among many other flying
wonders. I'll tell you more about it in the Living Abroad community here.
You'll also see some cool photos and videos I took and are invited to
share what you did over your weekend too. :D For now, let's jump into
this week's news.
STUDENT MENTAL HEALTH WEEK - 26 February to 3 March 2024 - (#SMHW)
Today is the first day of Student Mental Health Week.
"Student Mental Health Week is a global initiative that seeks to destigmatize mental health among students, encourage young people to be intentional about looking after themselves, and inspire conversations around what policymakers, education institutions, the wider community, caregivers, and learners themselves can do to support student mental wellness."
In
our English community, some of us are students, teachers, interns,
parents, or mobility coordinators. In one way or another, some of us may
have students in our lives who may at times have a lot on their plates -
particularly if they're living abroad in a new country and adapting to a
new culture.
Here, we will share tips and resources you can use or share with whoever may need support; so be sure to check out our Living Abroad and Practice your English forums for updates!
