This week is the Student Mental Health Week, which started on February 26th and runs until the 3rd of March.

Studying can be tough, and it's completely okay to feel overwhelmed at times. Remember, you're not alone, and there are plenty of resources available if you need someone to talk to or if you're seeking help.

Here is what has always helped me:

  • Using some breathing techniques (you can find plenty of them on Youtube)
  • Journaling
  • Using the pomodoro technique when studying: set a timer for 25 minutes; once the 25 minutes are up, take a short break of 5 minutes. Use this time to stretch, grab a snack, or do something relaxing.
  • Talk to someone - a friend, a teacher, a family member, or a mental health specialist
  • Take it easy - remember that grades are not everything, your mental health is way more important!

Comment below what helps you stay on track and feel less overhwelmed, let’s inspire each other!

I also encourage you to use OLS to find fellow students to connect to. For this, you can check this discussion topic on the Living abroad forums:

Where in Romania are you doing your mobility? Comment below, so I can create a new topic with it, where you can connect with fellow OLS members!

Wishing you all a week filled with positivity, self-care, and lots of kindness. If you need someone to talk to, you can always DM me or any of the OLS community managers.
