20 years ago today Latvia became a part of the European Union. A whole new generation has grown up the same way as Latvia has grown up in these years. On 1 May 2004, Cyprus, Czechia, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia joined the EU. We are happy to be a part of the European family and proud that the Latvian language can be heard in Europe.
