May Announcement - Toukokuun uutiset
We are peeking at the official summer here in Finland! We have been enjoying splendid weather in the recent weeks and studies are wrapping up for the semester. Let’s take a peek at our May month, what was going on?

The most important OLS related news right now is the OLS Speaking Sessions for June, which are happening on several OLS language forums. Take a look and sign up!
As for News from Finland: The Sámi Museum Siida is the only museum in Finland to actively collect Sámi cultural heritage and we are so proud of them receiving the title European Museum of the Year.
On the language side, we were learning fun stuff about the pronunciation of the scandic alphabets, ä and ö in Welcome to Ääkköset. Now, how can a cat and ham be helpful in this? Why dont you go read the forum post! Moving on, there was a flag day in Finland on 19th May and we learned a little bit of Finnish and about this day, you can study the vocabulary and try to decipher the forum post Liputuspäivä - Mikä Päivä Tänään on?
