We are currently facing one of the greatest threats to our blue planet and its inhabitants: the climate crisis. It is evident that a healthy ocean is essential for a healthy climate, and vice versa. We urgently need stronger action at local, national, and international levels from both government and corporate leaders.The concept of World Ocean Day was first proposed at the 1992 Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In 2008, the United Nations officially recognized June 8th as World Ocean Day.
