You probably know that feeling when you spend a lot of time with someone and you start to copy their habits and expressions. I feel this is the same with moving to a new country!
Whether you want it or not, you will unconsciously start adopting some cultural customs the locals do. For instance, when I spent a little more time in Italy, I used to drink an espresso after a big meal and I’d never drink a cappuccino after 12 pm. As soon as I got back home, I quit doing it!
