July Announcement

Phew, that's it for July, dear forum dwellers! The weather was a little wonky these past weeks but we still have August up and coming, before we can officially call it for summertime. For the last announcement, you go seeJune Announcement, Kesäkuun Uutiset. 

During July we started publishing more content in Finnish!  Announcement: Our First Blog Post in Finnish! This gives you hopefully more chances with practicing the language and learning new vocabulary and grammar. Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any questions related to our new challenging content, I will be very happy to help!

We're conducting an OLS Community Experience Survey to know your opinion about the Online Language Support (OLS) communities.  Y3Q2 survey is here and riding the same survey wave, please contribute to the Student Housing Survey.

So let's talk about our newly published Finnish content. This should be a “helppo nakki”! We have  Omituisia Suomalaisia Ruokapitoisia Sanontoja (Peculiar Finnish Sayings With Food).  Onko Sinulla Sisua? Do you feel this core of Finnish persistence and strength guiding your life? Finally, you can entertain yourself with  Faktoja Suomesta - Fascinating Finnish Facts. Which one is the most curious one? 

Heading up for next semester, have you considered  Volunteering for International Student Activities? And speaking about next semester, do not forget our  Finnish Placement Test. You may even want to give your new student colleagues a hint where they can find it, because if they came to Finland through Erasmus+ programme, they will need it.
