Hello Everyone

Today I want to test your knowledge of Danish culture and practice reading comprehension in Danish. Please see the instructions below:

Instructions (Instruktioner): 

Read the following statements about Denmark. Decide whether each statement is true (sand) or false (falsk). 

Statements (Udsagn): 

  1. Dannebrog, det danske flag, er rødt og hvidt. 

(The Dannebrog, the Danish flag, is red and white.) 

  1. Danmarks dronning hedder Anne-Marie. 

(Denmark’s queen is named Anne-Marie.) 

  1. København er kendt som en cykelvenlig by. 

(Copenhagen is known as a bike-friendly city.) 

  1. "Hygge" betyder at tage på eventyr i naturen. 

("Hygge" means going on an adventure in nature.) 

  1. Danmark blev medlem af EU i 1992. 

(Denmark joined the EU in 1992.) 

  1. Den Lille Havfrue er en statue, der står i Aarhus. 

(The Little Mermaid is a statue located in Aarhus.) 

  1. Mange danskere spiser rugbrød til frokost. 

(Many Danes eat rye bread for lunch.)
