Adjectives are the words that we use to name an attribute of an object:

- Color (white - бяло, dark green - тъмно зелено, blue - синьо),

- Size (tall - висок, long - дълъг, shallow - плитко),

- Qualities that are perceived by the sense of smell, taste, touch (sour - суров, sweet - сладък, soft - нежен, pleasant - приятен, smooth - гладък),

- Physical qualities (young - млад, strong - силен, blind - невидим),

- Shape of the object (round - кръгъл, square - квадратен, elliptical - елипсовиден),

- General assessment of the object (wrong - грешен, important - важен, necessary- необходим), etc.

Adjectives are every word, which can connect with nouns.

Adjectives change by:

Gender – high (masculine), high (feminine), high (neutral);

Род – висок (м. р.), висока (ж. р.), високо (ср. р.);

Number – high (singular), high (plural);

Число – високо (единствено число), високо (множествено число);

Article – high, the high, the high one.

Член – висок, високия, високият

Types of adjectives:

Qualitative (big, tall, sweet, useful); can be graded (bigger, tallest, sweeter, most useful);

Kачествени (голям, висок, сладък, полезен); могат да се степенуват (по-голям, най-висок, по-сладък, най-полезен);

Relative (wooden, forest, mature, childish); cannot be graded (we can say bigger, but not woodier)

Oтносителни (дървен, горски, зрелостен, детски); не могат да се степенуват (можем да кажем по-голям, но не и по-дървен)
