Hey community!
And just like that...February is close to its end and March is just around the corner.
You may have noticed that shops in Bulgaria have recently been variegated their stalls with white and red bracelets and various hand-knitted necklaces. Small outdoor stalls with similar decorations have sprung up in various places along the streets of cities and villages, and crowds of people are gathered excitingly around the sellers. The reason for this is the approaching March 1st - the holiday of Baba Marta. Loved and awaited by young and old, this day is the forerunner of spring and new life.
If you are living in Bulgaria now, you also need to be prepared for this day. Probably you will be gifted with the so called 'martenitsi' by your Bulgarian friends. The custom says that if you receive martenitsa, you should also give one.
Don´t panic! Get ready for the day. Check my article about the holiday and you will know what to do!
