Hey everyone!
Whether you've just started your mobility program in Poland or you've been here a while, finding the perfect balance between studies and exploring this amazing country can feel like a challenge. The good news? You're not alone, and we can learn from each other's experiences!
Here are a couple of tips to help you make the most of your time in Poland without falling behind on your academic goals:
Plan Ahead: Use a calendar or planner to map out your deadlines for assignments, exams, and other academic commitments. This way, you can block off specific days for sightseeing or trips without the stress of last-minute cramming.
Explore Locally: You don’t always need to take a long trip to experience something new. Most towns in Poland have rich histories, charming cafés, and local events. Even a short stroll after a study session can be a refreshing break. If you need some travel ideas, head to the Blog section, where I recommend some of my favourite places to visit.
Combine Academics and Adventure: Use your coursework as an excuse to dig deeper into Polish culture or history. For example, if you're writing an essay about European history, visit museums or landmarks that relate to your topic.
Travel Smart: Save your explorations for weekends or study breaks. You could take advantage of Poland's excellent train network and visit nearby cities like Kraków, Gdańsk, or Wrocław. Not only are the tickets very affordable, there are also great discounts for students - just don't forget your student ID!
Stay Flexible: While planning is great, leave room for spontaneous adventures. Some of the best memories come from saying “yes” to unexpected opportunities!
Now, I’d love to hear from all of you: How do you manage your time between academics and exploring? Have you found any hidden gems in Poland that others shouldn’t miss? Let’s share ideas, tips, and maybe even plan group trips!
Looking forward to your insights.
