Hello everyone,

One of the most exciting parts of being in a mobility program is the opportunity for cultural exchange. Poland is such a vibrant and welcoming country, and sharing a bit of your own home culture with your Polish friends can create meaningful connections and unforgettable experiences!

Here are a few tips to help you share your culture in fun and creative ways:

Host a Cultural Night: Invite your Polish friends to a small gathering where you introduce them to your home country's traditions. You could cook a dish, play music, or share interesting stories or customs. Food, especially, is a universal language!

Teach a Phrase or Song: Share a popular phrase or song in your language. It’s a simple, engaging way to spark curiosity and break the ice. Plus, your Polish friends might enjoy trying it out themselves.

Celebrate Your Holidays: If there’s a holiday or special day in your home country while you’re in Poland, invite your friends to celebrate with you. Explain its significance, and show them how you usually mark the occasion.

Bring a Little Piece of Home: Small tokens like postcards, photos, or souvenirs from your country can be great conversation-starters. They also give your friends a tangible glimpse of where you’re from.

Learn from Them Too: Cultural exchange is a two-way street. While you’re sharing your culture, take the time to ask your Polish friends about theirs. It’s a wonderful way to deepen your friendships and broaden your understanding of Polish traditions.

Now it’s your turn! How have you shared your home culture with your Polish friends? What was their reaction? Do you have any creative ideas or memorable stories to share? Let’s inspire one another with our cultural exchange adventures!

Looking forward to hearing about your experiences!
