Tomorrow, March 21st, is World Poetry Day, a day recognized by UNESCO to celebrate the beauty and power of poetry across cultures and languages. Poetry has long been a way to express emotions, tell stories, and reflect on life—while also offering a unique glimpse into language and culture.
Danish poetry has a rich tradition, from the timeless fairytales and poems of H.C. Andersen to modern voices that capture the essence of Danish life and nature. Whether traditional or contemporary, poetry plays an important role in Danish literature and everyday expression.
On this day, we recognize the impact of poetry in all languages, including Danish, and its ability to connect people across borders.
