Slovak is often described as a beautiful but challenging language. With its complex grammar, case system, and pronunciation, many learners find it quite different from what they’re used to. On the other hand, some Erasmus students are surprised by how much they can understand—especially if they already know another Slavic language or start recognizing familiar words.
