Learning a language alone is hard – it's easy to lose motivation when progress feels invisible.

Find a language buddy in just two steps!


Step 1: Post a short introduction with:

  • the language you are learning and your level (beginner, intermediate, advanced)
  • how often you can connect (e.g., once a week, or a few messages here and there)
  • your native language (optional – only if you are open to helping people practise it)

Do not share personal information like your phone number or specific location!

Step 2: Browse the thread, and if you spot an interesting profile, start a private conversation. You can do that by clicking the speech bubble icon on the upper right and typing that person's name into "Search".


If you want, you can also reply to their introduction in this thread, so that we know you've gotten in touch!

A few ideas once you've found your buddy:

  • Jump on a 15-minute video call once a week — no prep needed, just talk
  • React to something you learned that week — a word, a phrase, or a funny mistake
  • Send each other a voice note in your target language every few days
  • Set a small shared goal: "By next week, let's both write 5 sentences about our weekend"

Hi, I want to learn portuguese.
I speak spanish and english and my portuguese level is begginer, although it is similar to spanish so I can understand quite enough.
Im fine with messages and/or voice messages

Hi Carla! Were you able to get in touch with Alba to practise Portuguese together? We noticed there are also a few native Portuguese speakers in the group, such as Gabriela Timidate. Maybe sending them a private message could help :)

Hello! Mi name is Jordan Vargas Morales I'm from ecuador originally but I'm living in Spain. I like English language and I think it's very important language in the world used in marketing,business, live, moda, I also speak a little bit of French study a course here in Spain in the university of alicante and now I'm will study more English just to make it better. I can connect 2 or 3 time in a week to Monday to Friday.

Hola, mi nombre es Gabriela, estoy aprendiendo español y estoy en el nivel B1/B2. Mi lengua nativa es el portugués, de Brasil porque soy de allí, pero también de Portugal porque es donde vivo. Puedo hablar algunos mensajes de vez en cuando.

Hi, my name is Lee and I am currently learning Romanian at a beginners level as well as French on an intermediate level. I am able to connect once a week. For those interested, I am a native German speaker and would be open to help practice the language.
