Welcome to the OLS Danish Community!
This is the first of many announcements you will receive. I am writing here to explain what you can expect from the OLS platform and community, and how to make the most of it.
My name is Alison, originally from Copenhagen, Denmark! As your OLS Community Manager, I am happy to answer any questions and help with your Danish learning.
Check out the introductions thread in the “Practice your Danish” forum and introduce yourself! I am looking forward to getting to know you!
Regular language learning content
Wether you are at the beginning of your language learning journey or you already have experience with Danish, the forums are a place to put your skills to practice! Feel free to post in English if you don't feel comfortable in Danish.
Let’s look at the forums that we have available:
- In “Ask the Community” you can raise general questions about the functioning and purpose of the OLS Community.
- “Practice your Danish” offers you the opportunity to implement discussion groups on different topics according to your level of proficiency in Danish.
- “Living abroad” is dedicated to the exchange of information concerning the practical aspects of life in Denmark, as well as useful tips for diving into the culture and language.
These forums are a great resource for you to experiment in your learning process. Feel free to share tips and tricks/ideas that can help the whole community in the different phases of the exchange period!
How to use the OLS Danish community
After logging in and joining your language learning community, you can find announcements and the three different forums on the right side of the Dashboard.
Check the Announcements, the Calendar, Activities, and Forums. These can be found on the “Danish Learning Community and Resources” Dashboard (click on enrol or resume).
In our Help Center you'll find some useful resources like our OLS Assistance page. Also, we encourage you to observe the guidelines of the OLS Forum Netiquette and House Rules, to ensure that everyone who enters the forum is well received.
