Some of the other Community Managers and I have been chatting about foods found during the Holiday season. In the OLS Dutch Community, Marieke shared traditional baked goods and even included a recipe for Bankelstaaf. Being the food lover that I am and always happy to discover new cuisines, I decided to ask you about your favorite foods.
So, the challenge is this: Share a photo of your favorite food item. If it's a picture of something YOU made, all the better! (See Bernat’s tortilla here.) The basic idea is to simply share what you love to eat during the December holiday season and if you want to go a step further to include a recipe, go ahead! Someone in our community may just try making it. :D
I'll go first with something I just learned about and would love to try: Dukra Maas
The Dukra Maas is a spicy pork dish made in the Indian city of Mangalore and is often served as a main dish on Christmas. The next step for me is finding a recipe and then seeing if my small town has all the ingredients I need. Do we have anyone in our community familiar with this dish? If so, feel free to chime in.
