Just a quick note: the first word in your sentence should have an apostrophe and be written like this: it's.

"It's" is a contraction of the words IT and IS.

As citizens of my own country, I must say that we embrace the food of my culture. It is especially nice to see people supporting local producers. The food you know as kebab in Europe comes from our culture. There are also many different dishes like this one, for example pita. All of them are extremely tasty, but they can also be seen as unhealthy because they are very rich in carbohydrates. But I can never stop eating.

Carbohydrates transform into energy in our bodies, right? ...Soooo.... if we're running from one pita shop to the next one, that should keep us healthy & in good shape, shouldn't it? That's my rationale anyway. haha!

OMG! I'm so happy that you like them :) We have mixed culture with all middle-east nations. I'm Kurd and we span across parts of Turkey, Iran, Iraq and Syria. Kurdish cuisine is also an essential aspect of our culture with dishes varying based on the region and local ingredients. Some popular Kurdish dishes include Dolma, which is stuffed vegetables, kutilik, lamb stew. Tea is also an integral part of Kurdish culture and it is typically served to our guests as a sign of hospitality. And I strongly agree with you about running one shop to another can help our body in good shape because we have hundreds of different shops with excellent dishes!

Woooow! I didn't realize that some of my favorite foods are from Kurdish cuisine!! For one, I absolutely adore dolmas. But what I realize, thanks to you (and the tons of photos and videos I've just watched on the internet, hahaha!), is that I've only ever had them stuffed with plain rice. :/ I discovered that in addition to rice, they can be stuffed with many flavorful ingredients like dill and tomato paste and other items. ... Soooo, the hunt is on! It is my mission to find Kurdish dolmas. :D

In fact, now that I think about it; I tend to like foods that are rolled up in another food item. Mexican tamales, Asian fresh rolls or spring rolls quickly come to mind. Have you ever had those? I've made them a few times. They're delicious and take patience - but they're worth it. Just like the time it takes to make dolmas. Have you made dolmas before?

Well, its not really healthy, I agree. But it so tasty. So if you just can be a bit reasonable, you can enjoy every day another specialty.

Sure!, it’s very easy.
first of all you have to boil the water in a pot, when it boils add the salt and throw the pasta,
meanwhile cook the bacon in a pan, once cooked put it aside, create a cream with egg yolk, pecoriono (cheese) and pepper. when the pasta is cooked, put it in the pan and add the cream and bacon and eat it!

Wow! That does look very easy to do! Thank you very much. I'm very intrigued by the idea of a cream made with raw egg yolk. That's a new concept for me. :D

hmmm... I wonder who will be the first in our community to try it?! Whoever it is, send us a picture of the finished dish! We want proof. ;) hahaha!

It was born in Naples more than 100 years ago.
I really like it:soft and thin inside, with raised soft cornice. Light and easily digestible. When you fold it, it does not break, but remains soft.

Do you think the Neapolitan pizza is the best kind of pizza compared to any others? Hmm.... I'm curious to know: In your option, is it possible to have Neopolitan-style pizza in other parts of the world? There's a forum post about friendly food rivalries and one of them has to do with NYC vs Chicago-style pizza. Check it out, and give us your opinion. :)

In my opinion, the Neapolitan-style pizza can be found in other parts of the world only if there are Neapolitans in those parts using the right ingredients and putting the same passion in cooking it! However, it's not the same, it is just a copy of that style, the "original " Neapolitan pizza is the pizza made in Naples! :D
Good ingredients, excellent experience, a lot of passion and the right environment ( which is the same that allowed its invention)!

I 100% agree with you that good ingredients + excellent experience + passion and the right environment will have delicious results.

It's amazing that such popular and beloved food is now all over the world because of the creativity and ingenuity of Neopolitans. Could you imagine a world without pizza? XD

Hmmmm... I wonder who the very, veeerrrry first person was to invent it... maybe there's a museum in Napoli about the history of pizza!

Oh yes! My favourite place to eat pizza is "Sorbillo". In my opinion, other pizzerias to recommend are "Da Michele", "Concettina ai Tre Santi" and "50 Kalò".
Instead, the oldest pizzeria is "Antica Pizzeria Port'Alba", where you can "feel" the history of the pizza as well.
Oh, I forgot! Maybe I can imagine a pizza without world, but not a world without pizza! XD

Local: Pierogi are polish dumplings which are available in every restaurant that sells polish food. You can buy them everywhere across Poland. Pierogi can have many various fillings. The most popular one is made from cottage cheese, boiled potatoes, fried onion and some spices. Pierogi with this filling are most often called "Pierogi ruskie". Other fillings include: meat (pork, beef, sometimes chicken), fruits (strawberry, bilberry etc.), spinach, cabbage, mushrooms. Pierogi can be eaten without anything, but they are often enjoyed with melted butter, sour cream and fried bacon.

I'm from Andalusia but my father is from Madrid. When I go to visit him I always need to eat the typical food there. Bocadillo de calamares. At first, I tought it was so weird because I didn't figurate squids in a bread, it's not common in Andalusia but when I tried I fall in love. Now I want one :(

ORIGINS: The Frisella was one of the most popular food during the first millennium, a period in which it represented the meal of the military departing from the South,an ideal snack that kept for a long time even during complex journeys. There were two types of frisella: one made with durum wheat, reserved for the wealthiest tables and special occasions, and another made with barley, prepared by less wealthy families.
I think there is nothing more traditional, summery and delicious. A peasant, fresh country dish: tomatoes, olive oil, a pinch of salt and fragrant basil leaves or a little of oregano.

I live in Portugal and I love to eat "Farófias". Is is a easy, cheap and quick recipe to make. 
The farófias, are the ideal dessert to make when you want to use the egg whites left over from another recipe.

Hi, everyone! I'm Mario and I am from a lovely city in the west part of Spain, Salamanca :) In my region there is a typical recipe called hornazo. It is a dough which is filled with lomo (pork loin), chorizo and ham. Then is heated on the oven and that's it! We traditionally eat it when Easter finished (and the story of why we do this maybe deserves a whole post haha). Do not hesitate to try hornazo if you are visiting my hometown ^^

Hello everyone!

I'm in Galicia, an autonomous community in the northwest of Spain, and one of my favourite local foods is called "churrasco", although it's not exclusive to this country. Here, the main ingredient can be pork ribs, Galician beef ribs or a mixture of both.
Traditionally, the meat is salted and grilled on a grill, but it can also be prepared in an oven, after seasoning and adding vinegar, white wine and EVOO.
This dish is usually accompanied by a simple salad, chips and the traditional churrasco sauce (made from vinegar, olive oil, white wine and bay leaf).
If you prefer a vegetarian option, you can order a "parillada de verduras" instead, i.e. grilled vegetables.

I'll talk about a dish that is very common in many places in the world and it's called differently depending on where you are but the base is the same "Tacos" at Messico, "Piadina" in Italia, "Wrap" in more of one country, "Rapidita" in Argentina, "Montadito" in Spain. However, it's a thin dough similar from pizza, but much more thinner, that it's generally filled with a kind of meat, it might be cow, chiken, turkey, ecc., and vegetables, mostly onion, green leaves like salad, tomatoes, carrot, between a spoilt of choice.
I have chosen this meal because it's the delicios strategy I use at home for unwaste food. I usually preserve two or three days "waste" and join them in a preheated Piadina (I live in Italy now), adding cheese and some sauce, such as spicy sauce, avocado's cream, carrot maionese, yogurt sauce, olive's patè, and of course, the unmissing extra-virgin olive oil.

In catalonia we take, a slice of bread. We said that kind of bread like a farmer bread (pà de pagès). Then we made a kind of jam, with garlic,oil, salt.
At he end spread the jam (called in catalonia : all i oli).
After that put on the slice a grilled sausage,and enjoy the life

The product is Travesseiros de Sintra
It’s a traditional sweet from the beautiful portuguese village of Sintra.
It's made of puff pastry on the outside, egg cream, almonds and cinnamon on the inside and sugar on top.
It’s a very old recipe, originally made by nuns from a convent near by. Nowadays is produced and sold by Piriquita, one of the most famous pastry shops in the village.
We call it travesseiros because they look like small pillows and are absolutely delicious.

Mozzarella di bufala is a typical fresh cheese from Campania, an Italian region, made from the milk of these unique mediterranean buffalos that lives there. I like this type of mozzarella because it has a strong and intense milk flavour, that comes with a unique texture. Indeed, you can distinguish a mozzarella di bufala from a common mozzarella seeing that is not perfectly smooth on the outside, with little imperfections on the surface, and when you slice it, it release a lot of juices! That kind of thing is called “caccia ‘o latt”, that means that it is releasing “milk”!

Vietnamese here! I think most of us will think about "Phở" when we talk about Vietnamese food.
But I'd like to introduce a noodle dish with extra flavor for a Vietnamese cuisine enthusiast: Bún bò Huế! (bun bo hue, Hue's style beef with noodle soup).
My family cooked it ourselves yesterday, and the flavour was so good!
It is a heartful and savoury dish, rich in broth from beef bones and shrimp paste. The beef is tender, with a little bit of spice from lemon grass, chilli peper and freshness from a lot of greens!

Today I want to talk you about one of my favorite ocal products: Botillo del Bierzo.

This delicious product from El Bierzo, a beautiful region in the northwest of Spain, in the province of León.

Botillo is a traditional meat dish made with different parts of pork, seasoned with garlic, paprika, and other spices, and then smoked and cured. It's a unique product that tells the story of how people in this area preserved meat during the winter months for centuries.

I love Botillo because it's not just food, it's tradition, culture, and flavor all in one. Every time I eat it, it reminds me of family meals and local celebrations. If you ever visit El Bierzo, you must try it!

Ceviche is a typical dish of my country Peru. It´s very famous and it´s our flag dish. The main ingredient is raw fish and then add lemon, garlic, milk, salt and other condiments, finaly it´s accompanied with lettuce, onion, corn, potato and, sweet potato, and it´s important to have chilly.

I love ceviche because it remainds me my country and my family. If you visit Peru don´t forget to try it.

hi everyone! go back with memories and recon what i was used to eat it make me remember a dish my grandma was used to cook me: the "schie". is a tipical dish of venice tradition. basically are very tiny fried shrimps, cooked until they get very crunchy. they were my favourites. they always tasted sweet and salty at the same moment. they were never enough!
