The principal
objective is to make participants understand what Disaster Preparedness entails for
DG ECHO and how to mainstream it in all humanitarian operations.
This course is organised into three
modules:

This course is aimed at all humanitarian workers interested in improving their knowledge and competencies in relation to Disaster Preparedness for DG ECHO funded operations:
- DG ECHO partners and other interested parties.
- DG ECHO Staff
- External practitioners/donors
- Implementing partners.
- Open for non-specialists, basic content.
Obiettivi formativi
By the end of this training, participants will:
- know international and European frameworks for disaster preparedness in humanitarian aid;
- understand the DG ECHO objective and requirements for mainstreaming preparedness in humanitarian actions;
- understand and apply targeted preparedness actions by adopting a (multi) risk-informed approach, and identifying the four global priorities for preparedness.
