This course provides a practical introduction to evidence-based evaluation and programme design in Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (P/CVE). It introduces the role of evaluation in understanding what works, what does not, and under which circumstances P/CVE interventions can achieve their intended results. The course explores how evaluation can support effective programme planning, adaptation to local needs and capabilities, and collaboration among practitioners, researchers and policymakers. It provides foundational knowledge, practical materials, scenarios and knowledge resources to support the design and evaluation of P/CVE programmes and strengthen evidence-based prevention practice.

This course is intended for practitioners, researchers, policymakers, programme designers and evaluators working in Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (P/CVE).
