Member/Participating States civil protection/disaster management experts already trained in ODC Advanced (or equivalent) and experienced at national and international level wishing to deploy internationally in a coordination and assessment position as Safety and Security expert as part of an EUCPT.

Objectifs d'apprentissage

• Describe security reporting templates and formats
• Describe how to select and prioritise information relevant to safety and security briefings
• Describe European Commission, DG ECHO and ERCC security organisation
• Describe the mission’s safety and security environment, identify risks the team may face and describe the team’s vulnerability to those risks
• Describe how to develop strategies to reduce risk and vulnerability, including organisational approaches to risk management
• Describe how to develop and furnish a Security and Safety Plan
• Describe the role of UNDSS (The Department of Safety and Security is a department of the United Nations)
• Describe accommodation needs and associated risks
• Implement and adapt measures for safe travels
