The Team Leadership Course (TLC) aims at providing participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform competently in the role of team leader and deputy team leader of a European Union Civil Protection Team (EUCPT) during an international deployment under the UCPM.
Public cible
Team Leaders, Deputy Team Leaders and ERCC Liaison Officers of a EUCPT
Objectifs d'apprentissage
- Identify how the leadership function can be applied across the different activities of an EUCPT and in coordination with other stakeholders involved
- Outline how relevant leadership and management theories can be practically adapted and utilised
- Recognise particular circumstances (cultural/political/operational) during an int. deployment, react and make appropriate and timely decisions
- Apply appropriate and effective interpersonal skills in dealing with a range of leadership/management dilemmas
- Analyse strengths and weaknesses of oneself and of team members
- Implement measures related to team welfare and duty of care responsibility
- Interact effectively with the media in accordance with Commission guidelines
- Coordinate and manage a VIP programme
