The online course ‘Managing Performance, Quality and People in Public Administration’ aims to equip public administration officials with knowledge and skills needed to understand how to manage performance, quality and people effectively in public administration.
It consists of a 120-minute-long asynchronous learning module composed of three units, including reading, reflections and self-assessment quizzes.Target audience
The target audience of this online module are public administration officials across the EU.
Learning objectives
Upon completion of the online module, it is expected that participants:
- Are able to explain the concept of performance management and its importance in public administration.
- Are able to utilise the SMART framework to set specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-bound goals and objectives and describe key quality management systems such as the EFQM Model, CAF Model and ISO 9001 and their application in the public sector.
- Recognise the essential characteristics of public servants, including competence, motivation, ethics, responsiveness, flexibility and environmental respect.
- Recognise the importance of gathering feedback to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
