Mark your calendars, everyone!
On 9 May, the European Union celebrates Europe Day 2023, a moment commemorating the Schuman Declaration of 9 May 1950.
For this annual special
occasion, EU institutions, including EU delegations and
representations worldwide, will organize various online and
on-site activities. These events will provide citizens with the opportunity to discover
and experience the European Union.

But wait! Guess what else is happening on 9 May... The EUROPEAN YEAR OF SKILLS FESTIVAL!
Remember that announcement and forum post we had about the European Year of Skills? You'll be happy to know there will be a festival dedicated to EYS as well. It will also take place on 9 May (yes, 9 May is a big day in Europe!) Get your information here for the festival.
The main aims of the European Year of Skills festival are to:
- inspire stakeholders to invest in skills and the general public to think more about their skills;
- make gaining new skills accessible to everyone, regardless of their current skill level – we want to reach all people
I hope you all enjoy Europe Day, the EYS festival, and all the other events related to #EuropeDay. Let us know if you participate in any of the events (online or in-person), tell us about it in the Living Abroad forum.
