Hello, everyone. Welcome to the "Living abroad Forum". To get the conversation started, I have a simple question for all of you: 

  • Where are you heading to with your Mobility Programme?

You're going to love it there! I have been there a couple of years ago just for like 10 days and it was a wonderful experience. I actually wanted to do my semester abroad there too but unfortunately I didn't get the spot :/

I personally really enjoyed the view from Castillo de Santa Bárbara and especially walking through the Explanada de España! Also seeing the Parque el Palmeral and the Isla de Tabarca was fun osmijeh

Yea the view from Castillo de Santa Bárbara was amazing! Parque Palmeral was also very great but the walk home was a bit long, haha. I will go to Isla de Tabarca with my friends in september when they come to visit me in Alicante.

Thank you all for your replies osmijeh At the moment, the Comunitat Valenciana is winning! For those going there, make sure to:

  • Enjoy the authentic Paella. Yes, Spain's signature dish originated in the fields and lagoons around Valencia.
  • Try Horchata, which is a very popular drink from the region made of chufas (tiger nuts).
  • Visit Valencia for "Las Fallas", perhaps Europe's loudest festival. 
  • Learn a few words in Valencian/Catalan language. Along with Spanish, it is the official language of the Comunitat Valenciana.

What else? Is anyone going to Barcelona, Madrid or Seville? Share your destination!

You all are going to great cities! For now, we have people bound for Las Palmas, Madrid, Barcelona, Salamanca, Castellón, Gandía and Alicante. Don't be shy, tell us your destination, so that you can connect with mobility participants going to the same area as you!

For example: "Mobility participants going to Comunitat Valenciana" or "Erasmus students living in Granada". What do you think? Of course, feel free to create as many as you want osmijeh

Hi everyone! I'm Diana and headed towards Zaragoza. I'm very excited since I have never been away from home that long and have also never lived alone. So it's going to be a big challenge from which I hope to learn and grow a lot as a person osmijeh
