Describe Your Holiday and Write New Year’s Resolutions

Hello Everyone. 

Since we are nearing the end of the year, I would like to hear about how you spent your Christmas or about what resolutions you are making for the New Year. See below for some instructions and examples.

Describe Your Holiday 

Please write a short paragraph in Danish about how you celebrate Christmas or New Years. Use both past tense (to describe past events) and future tense (to describe what you will do this year). Examples: 

  • "I julen spiser vi altid and og risalamande. Sidste år pyntede vi juletræet sammen. I år skal jeg fejre jul med mine venner." 

  • "Til nytår spiser vi kransekage og ser dronningens nytårstale. I år vil jeg springe ind i det nye år på en stol."

     

Write New Year’s Resolutions 

Please write three New Year’s resolutions in Danish using phrases like: 

  • "Jeg vil gerne…" (I would like to...) 

  • "Mit mål for det nye år er…" (My goal for the new year is...) 

  • "Jeg skal prøve at…" (I will try to...) 

    Examples: 

  • "Jeg vil gerne lære mere dansk." 

  • "Mit mål for det nye år er at spise sundere." 

  • "Jeg skal prøve at møde nye venner."
