The training provides an insight into the most relevant aspects of consumer law, which contributes to providing better customer service and increasing consumer trust in SMEs.
The course consists of five modules. Each one deals with one particular topic of EU consumer law:
- Module 1: Pre-contractual information requirements
- Module 2: Right of withdrawal
- Module 3: Consumer rights and guarantees
- Module 4: Unfair commercial practices and contract terms
- Module 5: Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and Online Dispute Resolution (ODR)
All five modules follow the same structure:

The Consumer Law Ready course is addressed specifically to micro, small and medium-sized companies that interact with consumers aiming to support SME professionals in understanding and complying with the latest EU consumer law. For other professional groups the course can also be of great benefit.

Objetivos de aprendizaje
- To learn and apply the pre-contractual information that a trader need to disclose before concluding a contract with a consumer
- To know how to solve a dispute in cross border sales
- To be able to present pre-contractual and contractual information
- To reach the level of expertise required to comply with the consumer’s right to withdraw
- To learn how to proceed according to the Consumer rights and guarantees when goods do not conform with the contract
- To understand the EU rules on fairness and transparency of commercial practices
- To understand what Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) is
- To get familiar with Online Dispute Resolution (ODR)
- To acquire user-level competence of the EU ODR platform
