Hello team! How are you guys doing? At OLS, we hope you are having a great time wherever you are in Spain or Latin America :-)
Fancy practising your reading skills in Spanish?
Check out our new blog post, named "El valle políglota." In this article, which is the first one to be wholly written in the language of Cervantes, we explore the Aran Valley, a mountainous region located in the northwest of Catalonia. Besides its green fields and alpine landscapes, what makes this territory so special is its culture, and more specifically its language(s). Throughout the post, you will find audio files that you can play while reading, which will help you better understand the text. Are you curious? Don’t miss it!
As is customary, we’ve created a few discussion topics associated with the article, with which you’ll be able to improve your Spanish. We encourage you to take a look at them and participate!
- El valle políglota: we are aware that the post may be linguistically challenging for some of you, but if you have any doubts, questions or there’s something you don’t understand, let us know, and we will aid you! Not only that, this thread is aimed at sparking discussion and debate on multilingualism. What say you?
- Expresiones en español: in this discussion topic you’ll learn common expressions in Spanish, but we will do it together. We will post a few each time and add more once you’ve explained their meaning to the community.
- What do you prefer, ¿Mar o montaña? Come on, help me revive this jilted discussion topic, which is particularly relevant to the blog post :)))
- Presenta tu animal de compañía U・ᴥ・U: one of my cats, the oldest one, is named after the valley. Her name is Aran, as we found her there abandoned in the middle of the street. Do you have pets? Introduce them to the community!
¡Muchas gracias a todos/as! Espero que os guste el artículo.
